Cloud Computing: Are Your Own Antique Systems Holding you Back? – Tech Republic

Steve Ranger explains that adoption of cloud computing is often held back due to legacy systems that are still running in many enterprise IT infrastructures. He cites a survey which found that there is a need for a better understanding of the links between services as well as the business benefits of these services:

Over half of CIOs and senior tech professionals quizzed said their own IT architecture was the main hurdle to cloud adoption… ‘The primary challenge of rolling out enterprise clouds is chiefly down to the complex interdependency of the systems involved, rather than skills or geography,’ the research said.
