Cloud outages will never be 100% preventable. However, there are many tools which exist that help mitigate the impact of outages. Application performance management (APM) solutions have the ability to effectively pinpoint the root cause of cloud outages, whether it is a network, infrastructure or application component problem. When cloud applications fail, using APM to communicate performance data between the cloud vendor and customer is the quickest way to effectively diagnose and solve the problem.
